Peterborg Point

The Peterborg peninsula separates world famous Magens Bay from the Atlantic Ocean and is home to four gated communities: Peterborg East, Dove Way, Sydney’s Fancy and Red Rock. Homes in Peterborg range from the high six-figures to seven-figures, and most enjoy lovely views and cool Atlantic breezes. Peterborg is somewhat removed from conveniences, but the beauty and relative seclusion is, for many, well worth the trade-off. The end of the peninsula is Peterborg Point, known for its huge rock formations and tidal pools. It’s a destination for sightseers, if not for the adventurous. (Caution advised.)

This gated community along the Atlantic is known for its golfing, but since the hurricanes of 2017, the course and the clubhouse, are out of commission – hopefully short-term. A mixture of condominiums and high-end homes, many seaside, make this community a desirable one for a range of buyers – whose lifestyle suits quiet, slightly remote, living. Shopping and restaurants are not too far away, but generally be prepared to go up and over a hill or two, and navigate a few turns before you reach conveniences.
