What you need to know

  • It’s located on a peninsula. It’s a shared sentiment among the community’s residents that living in Water Point feels like you’re on a separate island. It mostly has to do with it being situated on a peninsula between Great Bay and Cowpet Bay.

And speaking of location, Water Point is in one of the most desirable areas of St. Thomas: East End. Peace and serenity are easy to come by here, yet necessary conveniences are a short car ride away in nearby Red Hook.

  • Resorts and sailing at your doorstep. The Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas is just a couple hundred meters away from Water Point’s gate. The Ritz features a variety of water sport activities and it offers a fabulous dining option, the resort’s 5th-floor restaurant, the Grand Palazzo. Another resort, the Elysian, is also walking distance and boasts its signature restaurant, Caribbean Fish Market. Last but not least, there’s the St. Thomas Yacht Club – also a stroll from Water Point. This iconic institution offers lunch and dinner and plays host to a number of regattas each year including the Commodore’s Cup, STIR – the St. Thomas International Regatta, and the Columbus Day Regatta. Visit St. Thomas Yacht Club’s official website for more information about upcoming regattas and even court sports.
  • There’s a full-time caretaker living on the property. Water Point is closely tended by the community’s full-time caretaker, whose home is at the gated entrance to the property.
  • Red Hook is the closest commercial center. A five-minute drive away, Red Hook features one of the island’s best grocery stores, a mail center, and large family practice, along with a terrific veterinary center. There are restaurants and nightlife, a gym, boutiques and American Yacht Harbor where boat rental options abound. In addition, if you want to explore St. John and even travel to the British Virgin Islands, you can board a ferry from Red Hook’s port.
