Living in Cabrita Point: What you need to know
- A five-star hotel and resort is just a stone’s throw from your Cabrita Point home. Living close to the Ritz-Carlton, St. Thomas has its perks. One, you can access a large variety of luxury amenities. Second, you get to choose between four restaurants whenever you visit. Third, you know you’re going to be pampered like royalty when you check in for a “staycation”.
- The area is known as a boater’s mecca in St. Thomas. Cabrita Point is just a few minutes away from the St. Thomas Yacht Club, which is one of the pillars of East End life. The coves and bays that rim this part of St. Thomas are fertile territory for diving, snorkeling, and boating. If you aren’t a fan of water sports, you are no doubt a fan of the splendid views that just about any home on Cabrita Point will offer you.
Attractions and things to do in Cabrita Point
Cabrita Point can serve as your tranquil rest stop as you explore the rest of the East End (and even the neighboring island.)
- Sample the food at American Yacht Harbor. Hungry after a day of beach hopping on the East End? Head to the Island Time Pub or Tap N Still – both located at American Yacht Harbor in Red Hook. One is famous for its pizza, the other for its beer and burgers – both are always full. Best of all, they’re less than 3 miles from Cabrita Point. And, if you want more sophisticated fare, there’s Raw for sushi lovers, Pesce for Italian food with a seafood theme, there’s XO for American bistro dishes and a new tequila bar and restaurant.
- Soak up the sun at Lindquist Beach. Ask any local for the most beautiful beach in St. Thomas and you will often get Lindquist Beach for an answer, and with good reason. After all, the beach’s powdery white sand, crystal clear waters, and seclusion make it seem like it’s heaven on earth.
Lindquist Beach is part of the much larger Smith Bay Park, a protected area that covers about 21 acres of land. It’s only a short drive from Cabrita Point, located approximately 5 miles away.
